2016-17 Tax Calculator App Update Now Available Free In The App Store

The update for our iOS App is now available in the App Store and includes a number of changes on top of the announcements from the 2016 Budget.

2016-17 Tax Calculator App Update Now Available Free In The App Store

We recently updated our iOS App for the new 2016/17 tax year and it is now available for free download from the App Store, two weeks ahead of the start of the new tax year on April 6th. Get it now by clicking here or search 'UK Tax Calculators' at the App Store.

On top of all the usual tax rates, allowances and threshold changes announced in the recent 2016 Budget, we have also ironed out some bugs and followed up on some recent feedback regarding the usability of the App.

Budget 2016 announced a major change to Capital Gains Tax where a new lower rate will apply from this April for non-residential gains. This meant splitting the Capital Gains section into two types (Residential/Other). This is now available within the App.

Additional changes include:

  1. Scottish Tax Codes are now supported. At the moment these codes make the same difference as the rest of the UK, but we are aware of the recent news about not passing on threshold changes to Scottish taxpayers from next year.
  2. We received some feedback regarding the animations and sound effects used within the app. To help with this we have included a new settings option to allow you to remove sound effects and tone down animations.

Please go ahead and download the app now and let us know what you think. Thank you for your continued support!
