Ability on the reverse calcuator to show on a progressive month by month basis, so it would show after 1 month 2 months etc

Paul Rogers - 05/04/2010 16:19:11

I get paid in dividends not salary, so it would be useful to have that facility as the tax rates are different, thanks!

Nathan - 01/04/2010 11:43:47

Nathan we have a dividend tax calculator on here too - it's in the menu under "more tax calculators" or click here Dividend Tax Calculator - It will be updated to be more thorough soon!

I am 67, married, Pension income of 25964. Your calculations I would pay 600 more per year than any other site!

Freddy - 30/03/2010 09:27:58

Your tax calculation is as follows:
You are married, aged 67 and earning £26,964/year.
Personal Allowance is reduced from the standard of £9490 to £7458 (£2032 is deducted as you earn over the age related allowance limit of £22,900)
The taxable amount is therefore £19,506 and tax due@20% is £3,901.20.
The only deduction that could be made to reduce your tax bill is the married couples allowance - but that is only applicable if you/your partner are either over 75 or born before 6th April 1935 (i.e. 75).
You are 67.
You would have an additional £591.60 taken off your tax bill with married couples allowance. Your tax bill would be £3309.60
Please email me at [email protected] with information about where you got the other calculation from Freddy.
